Street and Garden is an award winning design studio based in Brisbane, Australia. They specialise in product design for urban spaces, creating new and interesting products to shape the environment around them. View the work Street & Garden does here.

I was an intern at S&G from Feb 2022 to May 2022, then a part-time employee from May 2022 to August 2022.

My main role was in concept design, taking abstract ideas and creating a product that could feasibly be manufactured.

All projects were under the supervision and collaboration of David Shaw, Creative Director and Owner of Street & Garden

Skills developed or improved in this role include:

• Improving Parametric Solidworks modelling skills in the context of designing for manufacture

• Solidworks Sheet Metal skills

• Making detailed and precise technical drawings for fabricators to use

• Effectively communicating with clients, understanding needs, wants and expectations

• Effectively communicating with fabricators, ensuring mutual understanding and high quality work

• 3D Rendering in Keyshot
